for the 4^th Asian Physics Olympiad

Dear Leaders,

This is the second circular sent to you from the Organizing Committee of the 4^th APhO. We have already sent the official invitation letter to your Minister of Education and also e-mail to you. In case you think we should send the official invitation letter to other organization(s), please let us know the name(s), contact person(s) and address(es).

Would you please complete the attached COUNTRY CONFIRMATION FORM and return it to us, probably by e-mail, before December 15, 2002.

According to the Statutes of APhO, each country may send a team consisting of eight students and two accompanying leaders. The travel costs to and from Thailand are the responsibility of each participating country. Once the team arrives in Thailand, all costs of food, accommodation, and transportation associated with the Olympiad are the responsibility of the Organizing Committee. As an established custom in the Asian Physics Olympiad, each participating country is encouraged to contribute a voluntary fee of US$ 1,000. We warmly welcome the observers and visitors from all countries who accompany their delegations. Observers will be charged US$1,100 each and visitors US$1,000 each.
